Some things are so serious that it is not appropriate to make fun of them. But at the same time there are things you must make fun of, things that will turn into big, serious, menacing horrors if not laughed at properly. Into things that paralyse your sense and sensibility and make you believe that the end is near. But how can you tell what to laugh at, what you have to force yourself to laugh at, and what... not to joke about?

Horrific, hideous thoughts creep up like hedgehogs in a fog. Big, terrible animals with thorns. What can be done to lift the fog, to turn the hedgehog back into a meek little animal humming on its own? Is it even possible?

"Hanging Hedgehog" is a show we need today. Not because it's a theatrical masterpiece, or because it somehow changed the world or the viewer into something it wasn't before. But for the opposite reason: because it tears down all the walls these uncertain times have put up around our minds with frivolous fuck-off and takes the edge off.
