A performance that urges to unleash your inner creature and send it on a tour into the wilder corner of the room. But not just only.

The center of Renate Keerd's work has always been man and life in its absurdity. Unexpected transformations and metamorphoses as reflections of life are an integral part of her creative signature. As is true this time. Everything is possible.

On stage can be seen Tartu New Theatres troupe featuring it's freshly joined actors Elise Metsanurk or Ilo-Ann Saarepera, Ekke Hekles, Martin Kork, Andreas Aadel and Jan Ehrenberg as a guest.

In Estonian LOOD is homonym for stories or tales and a level (the tool)

Põim Kama/Eesti Ekspress: The title of the performance LOOD* at the same time refers to all the untold tales as well as the desperate rummaging through life's toolbox in order to find something to straighten things up again. The endless search for balance in this generic uncertainty, balancing on the axis of diplomacy and madness — it all unfolds before the audience. This comes together as a delicate and fragile machinery, the cogwheels of which are mercilessly grinding the everyday.

Karin Allik/Postimees: On the one hand, Keerd knows how to humorously expand pop culture cliches, on the other she seems to urge actors (or performers) to unleash all the droll creatures that nest in human soul.

Meelis Oidsalu/Teater.Muusika.Kino: In contemporary (theatre–) art it is customary to try to compensate the lack of ideas or technical skills with cuteness, cute clumsiness or halrequinade. This cannot be said about Keerd’s theatre: there, warmheartedness, humour and empathy are combined with technical wit and moxie. Her theatre is an example that modern art doesn’t have to be incomprehensible, elitist or vulgar. Renate Keerd offers solace in the age of modern art alienating from the audience.

Renate Keerd’s productions have been described as positive, playful and metaphysical, offering a sensitive and witty take on social phenomenon and processes in a unique artistic style. Her productions have been performed at numerous theatre and contemporary dance festivals in Europe, Scandinavia and Asia. In 2012 she founded her own company of physical theatre called Kompanii Nii. Keerd’s production PURE MIND in Tartu New Theatre won the Grand Prix at the international theatre festival in Minsk and in 2017 it participated in the prestigious Chekhov Theatre Festival in Moscow. In 2018 Renate won the Grand Prize of the Estonian Cultural Endowment in the field of Dramatic Arts. She was also awarded the Performing Arts prize at the annual Estonian Theatre Awards for the productions of TAHE (WILL) (Tartu New Theatre) and VAIMUKUSKUSS (Von Krahl Theatre) at the same year.
