Every large city has one of those famous districts of concrete-panelled blocks of flats. The flat there used to symbolise the start of a new and better life.
A man and a woman meet in one of those tiny flats.
We all think that we know what’s going to happen next.
But what do we actually know about the people around us?
Keiu Virro/Eesti Päevaleht: „Anne lahkub Annelinnast" is one of the most outstanding productions of the theatre year so far. On a timeless topic – relationships of course.
Valle-Sten Maiste/Sirp: It is fantastic, that this cooperation is now topped with an undertaking of such a scale as is "Anne lahkub Annelinnast" – a grand work full of nuances, so up-to-date and at the same time deep of thought. Ivar Põllu has once again succeeded in author theatre, which – to my understanding – positions in the top of the current theatre scene.
