before you arrive

Location and arrival

• the performance takes place in Tartu Central Park (Tartu keskpark, Siuru park), in the area along Vabaduse puiestee
• detailed instructions will be sent to ticket holders in a pre-performance e-mail and published on this page

Performance

• the performance starts at 18:00, is in three acts with two intervals, and runs just over 4.5 hours
• the stage is 45 m wide and the audience stand in front of it is divided into three sectors: in each sector, you hear the sound in your headphones of the scene closest to you, while the sound from the other scenes is not audible
• during intervals, you move one sector forward, allowing you to follow what happens in the neighbouring scenes; the actors will repeat the story three times over
• the seat number printed on your ticket corresponds to a marked chair for each act

Headphones

• radio headphones are required to experience the performance and will be provided at the box office on site
• without the headphones, the performance is inaudible

Weather

• dress warmly and for the weather, warmer than you think you’ll need
• in the park it's always cooler, even on sunny days
• while the trees offer some shelter from light rain, please be prepared for showers (a rain cape or rain jacket is preferred, umbrellas are not — they obstruct other viewers)
• if you forget, no worries, rain capes are available for purchase at the box office on site
• please take into account that at night the temperatures in the park drop and that crows gather in the treetops to roost!!!

Parking

• we recommend arriving on foot, by bike, or by public transport
• the performance site is located next to the Raeplats bus stop and is surrounded by city smartbike stations, e-scooter and bicycle parking areas
• free parking spaces for tour buses are available on Vabaduse puiestee next to the performance site; we kindly ask bus drivers to note that starting engines too early disturbs the performance
• parking for other vehicles in the city centre is paid (Zone A)
• nearby parking garages are primarily intended for shopping centre visitors and may be closed at the end of the performance

Theatre Café

• our café travels with us and will be open on site (located by the stairs at the Raeplats bus stop)
• the theatre café offers hot and cold drinks, kvass, buns, and something to warm you up
• during the intervals, water, soft drinks, and spirits are also available at the box offices
• the café is happy if you bring your own cup, audience members with their own food and drink are welcome

Additional information

• headphone reception is weaker outside the park, so please keep an eye on the time and return in time for the start of each act
• the performance starts at 18:00; the intervals are 25 minutes long
• before and after the performance, as well as during the intervals, a vinyl record with music from the production is available for purchase at the box offices and the cafe
• for any questions, our volunteers in yellow caps are on site and happy to help
